About Us

Hello and Welcome! Lucky Wanderers is a pet project of mine that I have been cultivating for years.

My name is Amanda. I am an aspiring writer masquerading as an Office Manager/Admin Assistant by day. I love the outdoors and spend as much time as I can outside with my boyfriend, Nate, exploring and finding new places to wander to. As an adult I have spent countless hours researching places to camp and have come to realize that while a lot of information can be found on the internet for campgrounds, its not always right all in one area nor is it always easy to find. Many websites for campsites are lacking and I find myself doing deep dives all over to find all of the information that I would like not only on the campground and the campsites, but also the amenities and features.

About 10 years ago, I had to begin worrying about camping with my then new dog, Irish, which raised a whole new set of questions raised in reference to camping with dogs and the restrictions that came with it, so I decided to start compiling information in a binder to reference back to. Fast forward only a couple of years, and those notes quickly became the basis to form this website around. And so Lucky Wanderers was born.

I strive to provide correct and current information, but as technology advances daily, things also change just as fast. Always visit the webpage of the campground or other business you would like to visit to ensure you are getting the most current information you can.
